In recent months, Eastern International University (EIU) has welcomed a number of international students from leading universities in Singapore, India, and France to participate in internship programs at the University.
Nearly 30 students from institutions including Nanyang Polytechnic (Singapore), Singapore Management University (SMU), Amity University Uttar Pradesh (India), and ENSIL-ENSCI Engineering School (France) joined the program. During their internships at EIU, the students participated in research and technology application projects across a wide range of fields, including smart manufacturing, automation, artificial intelligence (AI), computer vision, enterprise resource planning (ERP), industrial data analytics, and intelligent robotics at the Industry 4.0 Innovation Center (IIC).

The internship projects were designed around emerging technologies of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, addressing real-world challenges in manufacturing and industrial management. By working alongside EIU lecturers, experts, and researchers, the students gained hands-on experience in a modern research environment while strengthening their technical expertise and developing the skills needed to thrive in an international setting.
Reflecting on his experience at EIU, Elias Couty, a student from ENSIL-ENSCI Engineering School (France), shared: “When I first arrived at EIU, I was impressed by the spacious campus and its modern facilities. Everyone was welcoming, and the learning and research environment was open and inspiring. I am truly grateful for the opportunity to complete my internship at EIU and gain valuable experience in the field I am passionate about.”
Welcoming international students for study, research, and internships not only enriches EIU’s multicultural academic environment but also reinforces the University’s role within the global network of education and research partnerships. The program also provides valuable opportunities for EIU students to engage in academic exchange, expand their international networks, and collaborate on high-impact applied research projects.
Through its international partnership initiatives, EIU continues to advance its commitment to practice-oriented education, research, and innovation. By fostering global collaboration and experiential learning, the University is preparing high-quality talent equipped to meet the evolving demands of the digital economy and the future of smart industry.
