The Learning Express Programme 2026 (LeX 2026), a collaborative project between Eastern International University (EIU) and Singapore Polytechnic (SP), officially concluded with a series of highlights, including a company visit, a Gallery Walk, and the Closing Ceremony. More than just the end of an experiential learning journey, the program marked an important milestone in students’ growth, connections, and efforts to spread community values.
Company Visit – Connecting Theory with Practice
On the afternoon of April 14, 2026, the student and lecturer delegation visited Longood Intelligent Electric (Vietnam) Co., Ltd. During the visit, students had the opportunity to learn firsthand about modern production processes, a professional working environment, and how the company applies technology in its operations. In addition, exchanges with company representatives helped students gain a clearer understanding of the practical skills required in the workplace, thereby narrowing the gap between academic theory and the needs of the labor market.

Gallery Walk – A Space for Creativity and Exchange
Held on the morning of April 15, 2026, the Gallery Walk showcased a vibrant exhibition of models and innovative ideas developed by six student teams, centered around three community-based projects.
For the Fruit Garden Project in Phu Giao, two student groups developed two different solution directions. One group focused on a machine model for producing organic fertilizer from agricultural by-products, contributing to the effective use of available materials and promoting sustainable farming. The other group proposed an in-orchard transportation system combined with a flexibly designed harvesting tool kit, aiming to help local farmers reduce manual labor and improve harvesting efficiency.
For Dinh Hoa Lacquer Village, the products were developed in a more creative direction, making them more accessible to younger markets. Ideas such as lacquer blind boxes and handcrafted jewelry lines with modern designs opened up new approaches to traditional art. Notably, the event was honored to welcome representatives from Dinh Hoa Lacquer Village, who attended and provided direct feedback to the student groups. Their practical insights helped students gain a deeper understanding of the products’ applicability and implementation potential.
Students visited the Rice Paper Village Project in Cu Chi
Meanwhile, the Rice Paper Village project (Cu Chi) integrated communication and educational initiatives to raise awareness among younger generations about traditional crafts, while also proposing supportive lifting and transportation equipment to reduce the physical workload for local residents.
Through the live presentations, participants not only had the opportunity to observe the prototypes but also gained a clearer understanding of each group’s process of developing ideas, testing, and refining their products. The Gallery Walk truly served as a bridge between academic knowledge and the practical needs of the community.
Closing Ceremony – Marking an End and Opening New Beginnings
The LeX 2026 Closing Ceremony took place in a solemn yet warm atmosphere. Representatives from both institutions reflected on the journey, recognizing the efforts, spirit of collaboration, and contributions of all students, lecturers, and partners.
Certificates were presented to EIU and SP students participating in the program
Tokens of appreciation were presented as sincere thanks to all parties who accompanied and supported the program throughout its journey. At the same time, this was also a moment for the student teams to reflect on their own progress – from initial ideas to concrete, application-oriented products.
LeX 2026 went beyond prototypes and solutions. More importantly, the program created a meaningful learning journey where students learned to listen, understand, and work with the community to create sustainable value.
From these experiences, students will continue to carry with them a spirit of creativity, social responsibility, and international connection as they move forward in their future development journey
