From May 26 to June 1, twelve students from the Becamex Business School, School of Engineering, and School of Computing and Information Technology had the opportunity to participate in a field trip to Japan. The trip was not only an academic activity but also a journey of exploration, growth, and connection.
Students visiting enterprises
Throughout the trip, students not only experienced real-world business environments at renowned corporations such as Tokyu, Aris, Ray Aegis, and Sankosha, but also participated in cultural and academic exchange activities at Asia University and Tokyo University of Technology – two strategic partners of Eastern International University (EIU). The program provided students with the opportunity to enhance their communication skills, gain a deeper understanding of Japanese culture, and expand their international network.
Additionally, it was a valuable chance for students to observe and learn how Japanese society operates – from its public transportation system and meticulous waste-sorting process to its green lifestyle and renowned discipline. These lessons go far beyond textbooks, helping shape sustainable thinking and adaptability in a globalized world.

In particular, for students majoring in Hospitality Management, experiencing the service and management processes at Japanese hotels provided valuable practical insights. The meticulousness, thoughtfulness, and dedication in service are essential qualities that students can learn from and apply in their future careers.
Learning in an international environment is no longer a distant concept. At EIU, overseas internship programs such as the Japan trip are regularly organized for students from various disciplines, demonstrating the university’s strong commitment to developing well-rounded human resources—knowledgeable, skillful, and ready for global integration.
“I feel truly fortunate to have taken part in this trip. The lessons I learned in Japan will be valuable assets that help me grow and pursue my future career path,” shared Le Pham Thanh Ngan, a student from the Becamex Business School, after her internship trip to Japan.
