Eastern International University Completes Preliminary Survey for Second Cycle of Institutional Accreditation

Today (February 11), Eastern International University (EIU), in collaboration with the External Evaluation Team from the Center for Education Accreditation – Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City (CEA VNU-HCM), conducted the preliminary survey for the second cycle of institutional quality accreditation.

Joining the on-site survey at EIU were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lê Ngọc Quỳnh Lam – Director of CEA VNU-HCM, and Ms. Phạm Thị Bích, MSc – Deputy Director of the Center for Testing and Educational Quality Assessment, VNU-HCM.

Speaking at the program, Dr. Ngô Minh Đức – President of EIU – shared that institutional quality accreditation is not only a regulatory requirement but also an opportunity for the university to comprehensively and objectively reflect on all its activities. This process serves as a foundation for affirming EIU’s commitment to society regarding the quality of its education. Through today’s preliminary survey, EIU will take into account the feedback and recommendations from the External Evaluation Team to further review and enhance its Institutional Self-Assessment Report in preparation for the official accreditation process.

During the working session, the External Evaluation Team held internal discussions with EIU to clarify responsibilities, procedures, and the daily working plan to ensure the survey proceeded smoothly and on schedule. As part of the program, the team also conducted a preliminary review of the related documents and evidence and inspected facilities supporting accreditation, including faculty offices, lecturer workspaces, the health center, dormitories, sports areas, and student learning and living environments.

Speaking at the preliminary survey, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lê Ngọc Quỳnh Lam commended EIU’s thorough preparations for the second-cycle survey. The outcomes reflected in the Institutional Self-Assessment Report and the readiness of related documentation clearly demonstrate EIU’s responsibility and dedication to sustainable development.

At the conclusion of the working session, representatives from the External Evaluation Team and EIU signed the “Minutes of Completion of Preliminary Survey.” With a transparent, objective, comprehensive, and professional process, EIU will continue its efforts in preparation for the upcoming official institutional accreditation, striving to achieve the best possible results.
