National University of Singapore senior lecturer Dr. Lim Fui Ping pays working trip to EIU

The Eastern International University (EIU) has pride welcoming Dr. Lim Fui Ping, senior lecturer at National University of Singapore (NUS) with a working trip at EIU on February 13 – 17, 2023.

Dr. Lim Fui Ping is Director of Student Affairs Program at NUS, and Director for Bachelor of Science (Nursing Practice) – Year 1. She is also a member of the exam board for the certifications of practice of Singapore.

During her working program, EIU and Dr. Lim organized two academic seminars for the EIU Nursing School and students. With the topic of Team-based Learning, she and EIU lecturers discussed the curriculum evaluation process, the main principles and steps for implementing the curriculum, and steps for students to effectively study in groups.

Thanks to the seminars, EIU nursing students learned a lot of useful knowledge on the topic of “wound bed preparation”, including knowledge of distinguishing types of tissues in wounds, inflammation/infection forms, moisture management and balance, resistance enhancement, and wound dressing usage.

The exchange program with Dr. Lim aimed to intensify EIU’s ties with internationally prestigious educational institutions such as NUS, and create opportunities for EIU lecturers and students to exchange and learn more, thus improving professional qualifications and developing important skills in nursing.

Additionally, it was also an opportunity for EIU and NUS to discuss the improvement of nursing curriculum to improve the quality graduates to help them get more job opportunities in Vietnam and overseas.

As a multidisciplinary university, EIU focuses on improving the quality of teaching and student learning experience, creating a professional and creative working and learning environment; provides knowledge for lecturers and students to get the skills and ability to carry out the mission of serving the community.

Therefore, international cooperation and exchange programs are always one of the activities prioritized by EIU. These activities create opportunities for EIU and its units to learn and share each other’s achievements and positive values, enabling EIU to constantly achieve improvements to accomplish its goals and missions.
