EIU students win intellectual property contest’s second prize

The EIU student team have secured the second prize in the “Understanding intellectual property for students” contest, co-organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Science and Technology, Vietnam National University (VNU) HCMC, the National Office of Intellectual Property’s HCMC Representative Office.

The final round of the competition took place on May 28, 2022 with four competing teams from EIU, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, VNUHCM-University of Social Sciences & Humanity, and VNUHCM-University of Economics and Law.

The finals witnessed fierce and challenging competitions. The four teams had to undergo four parts with more and more big challenges one after one. With not just broad and deep knowledge of intellectual property, they had to perform their presentation skills, as well as to succeed in the Q&A section.

Showing enthusiasm and the ability to make presentations coherently, EIU students excellently won the second prize and achieved high appreciation for careful preparation from the judges.

The competition served as a great opportunity for EIU students to enrich more deep understanding about intellectual property. It also helps them keep in mind great memories.

The contest was organized to promote the messages of the World Innovation Day (April 21) and the World Intellectual Property Day (April 26), Vietnam Science and Technology Day (May 18), as well as to raise awareness and respect of intellectual property for the youth, and establish such respect in the community.
